Введение
Настоящее учебное пособие предназначено для изучения английского языка обучающимися первой и второй ступеней образования.
Цель данного пособия – повышение уровня познавательного интереса обучающихся на уроках английского языка через использование стихов, песен, пословиц, юмористических рассказов.
Учитывая возрастные и психологические особенности детей, для обучающихся начальной школы языковой материал представлен в виде стихов и песен, а для обучающихся среднего звена – в виде пословиц и юмористических рассказов.
Содержание жанрового материала подобрано в соответствии с тематикой программы курса английского языка (автор Биболетова М.З.)
В первом разделе пособия описаны этапы работы с языковым материалом, второй раздел включает в себя тематическое содержание стихов, пословиц и юмористических рассказов.
Систематическое использование языкового материала на учебных занятиях не только повышает уровень учебной мотивации и познавательного интереса школьников, но и способствует формированию ключевых компетентностей: лингвистической компетентности (так как обеспечивает тренировку фонетических, лексических и грамматических навыков, способствует совершенствованию речевых умений: аудирования, чтения, письма); культурной компетентности (так как способствует погружению обучающихся в иноязычную культуру, привносит в учебное занятие эмоциональный колорит). Предложенный языковой материал может быть использован и для организации релаксационных пауз на уроке как элемент здоровьесберегающей технологии.
Раздел I
Методические рекомендации
по использованию языкового материала
в учебно-воспитательном процессе

Этапы работы с языковым материалом
Работа со стихотворением.
1.
• Подготовка учащихся к первичному прослушиванию стихотворения. Словарная работа как средство устранения языковых трудностей при восприятии содержания стихотворения (на доске записываются трудные слова, незнакомые выражения, прочитываются коллективно и индивидуально, переводятся);
• Первичное прослушивание стихотворения (читает учитель);
• Самостоятельное прочтение стихотворения обучающимися;
• Проверка понимания содержания, обсуждение прослушанного, анализ лексического и грамматического строя стихотворения;
• Организация первичного запоминания стихотворения на основе выделения рифмующихся слов.

2.
• Осложнённое воспроизведение стихотворения (в стихотворении удаляются отдельные (значимые по содержанию) слова);
• Заучивание стихотворения обучающимися.

3.
• Групповой и индивидуальный контроль выученного стиха.

Работа с песней
Работа с аутентичной песней проводится аналогично работе со стихотворением. Добавляются отдельные (специфические) приёмы работы:
1.
• Подготовка учащихся к первичному прослушиванию песни. Словарная работа как средство устранения языковых трудностей при восприятии содержания песни (на доске записываются трудные слова, незнакомые выражения, прочитываются коллективно и индивидуально, переводятся).
• Первичное прослушивание песни (аудиозапись); происходит знакомство с музыкальной стороной песни, особенностями мелодии ритма; при первичной фонетической обработке текста песни целесообразно применять в основном способ имитации.

• Самостоятельное прочтение содержания песни обучающимися;

2. Заучивание песни на основе музыкального сопровождения с использованием танцевальных движений.
Работа с пословицами
1.
• Подготовка обучающихся к первичному прослушиванию пословицы; словарная работа как средство устранения языковых трудностей при восприятии содержания пословицы (на доске записываются трудные слова, незнакомые выражения, прочитываются коллективно и индивидуально, переводятся);
• Зрительное и слуховое восприятие пословицы (запись на доске, чтение пословицы учителем). Проверка понимания содержания, обсуждение содержания пословицы (нахождение русского эквивалента, перифраз, подбор ситуации из реальной жизни);
• Проверка лексического и грамматического строя пословицы.

2.
• Осложнённое воспроизведение пословицы (в пословице удаляются отдельные (значимые по содержанию) слова);
• Заучивание пословицы обучающимися.

3. Индивидуальный контроль заучивания пословицы.
Работа с юмористическими рассказами
1.
• Подготовка учащихся к первичному прослушиванию юмористического рассказа. Словарная работа как средство устранения языковых трудностей при восприятии содержания рассказа (на доске записываются трудные слова, незнакомые выражения, прочитываются коллективно и индивидуально, переводятся).
• Аудирование юмористического рассказа;
• Проверка лексического и грамматического строя юмористического рассказа;
• Распределение ролей для драматизации юмористического рассказа;

• Воспроизведение юмористического рассказа на основе драматизации.

• Ten hours over a history book.
John: I spent ten hours over my history book last night.
Alec: Ten hours?!
John: Yes, I left it under my bed when I went to sleep last night.

• A schoolboy was constantly writing «I have went instead of «I have gone». At last the teacher asked him to stay after school and write «I have gone» hundred times for him to remember it better. When the teacher came back he found a letter from the boy on his desk. It said, «Dear sir, I have written «I have gone» hundred times, and now I have went. Jim stone».

• From Monday till Friday.
Teacher: This is the fifth time I have punished you this week. What have you to say?

(TRAVELLING)
• Are You Angry, Sir?

One day Mark Twain was traveling in France by train. He was going to a small town hear Paris. It was very late at night when he went to sleep. He asked the conductor to wake him up when they god to the town and went to sleep.
It was early morning when he woke up. The train was already hear Paris. Mark Twain was very angry. He ran up to the conductor and cried, «I asked you to wake me up! Why didn’t you do it? I am very angry with you!»
The conductor looked at him for a moment and then said, «You may be angry, sir, but not so angry as the American whom I put off the trains instead of you».

• At a small railway station?

Man: When does the next west bound train arrive?
Station- master: At 3 p.m.
M: And the next east- bound train?
S: At 4 p.m.
M: And the next north- bound train?
S: Arrives at 6 p.m.
M: And the south bound train?
S: Oh, it left two hours ago.
M: Well, I guess it’s safe to cross the tracks now.
ТЕМА: «ИЗВЕСТНЫЕ ЛЮДИ АНГЛИИ»
(FAMOUS PEOPLE OF ENGLAND)

• The story about Queen Elizabeth(I).

Many gossips existed about English Queen Elizabeth the First. She was never married but had many friends among men. Robert Dudley spent more time with her than the rest, he was jealous and tried to keep other men away from the lady of his heart. Once Elizabeth had a late supper with the Spanish ambassador who was treating the Queen to the Spanish traditional dish cooked with garlic. They had just finished the meal and were about to part, when Robert arrived. The ambassador heard of violent manners of that man. He jumped up, grabbed his pistol, ran into the bedroom and hid under the bed. Robert entered the room, his nostrils blowing out in anger. He felt the smell of garlic. «I know there’s a man here» he yelled. He looked behind the cupboard. «Not here». He looked in a closet. «He’s not in here».
Finally, he went into the bedroom, looked under the bed, saw the Spaniard with the gun and said:
«He’s not under here either».
ТЕМА: «ЕДА» (FOOD)
• Tea or Coffee?

A man was having breakfast in an English hotel. He took a drink from his cup and then said to the waiter,
«Is this tea or coffee?»
«Can’t you tell the difference, sir, by the taste?»
«No», said the man. «I can’t».
«Well», said the waiter, «if you can’t tell the difference, what does it matter which it is?»

• A Clever waiter.
A man in a restaurant noticed that the waiter had brought him a cup of coffee without a spoon.
«This coffee is very hot to stir with my finger», said the man.
A short time later the waiter came back to the table with another cup of coffee.
«May be this isn’t so hot, sir», he said.

• What contains milk?
Teacher: Tommy, name five things that contains milk.
Tommy: Butter, cheese, ice- cream and two cows.

• Bill’s Birthday.
Mum: You are five today. Happy birthday to you!
Bill: Thank you, Mama.
Mum: Would you like to have a cake with five candles on it?
Bill: I think I’ll better have five cakes and one candle, Mama.

• A Good river.
Boy: Is it a good river for fish?
Fisherman: Must be. I can’t make any of them come out.

• What is a net?
Teacher: Can anyone tell me what a fishing - net is made of?
Little boy: It’s made of many little holes tied together with a string.

• Johnny wanted to go fishing.
Mother: If you wanted to go fishing, why didn’t you come and ask me first?
Johnny: Because I wanted to go fishing.

• Strange ants.
Fist little boy: Aren’t ants strange little things? They work and work, and never play.
Second little boy: Oh, I don’t know about that. Every time when I go on a picnic, they are always there.

• Too Far.
Steve: Why does an ostrich have such a long neck?
Ted: Because its head is so far from its body, I guess.

• What have you planted in the garden?

• A Lucky explorer.
African explorer: One fine day, not very long ago, I went out unarmed for a walk when suddenly, I found myself face to face with a big tiger.
Friend: How awful! What did you do?
African explorer: I looked at him, put my hand in my pockets, said «What will be, will be», turned round, and went home.
Friend: And didn’t the tiger rush at once on you?
African explorer: He couldn’t it was at the Zoo.

• The first visit to the Zoo.
It was Frankie’s first visit to the Zoo.
«What do you think of the animals?» asked the father.
After a critical inspection of the animals the boy answered, «I think the kangaroo and the elephant must change tails».

• Out of the dog’s plate.
Visitor: Why is your dog watching me so closely while I eat?
Host: Maybe it’s because you are eating out of his plate.

• A brave hunter.
Guide: I saw a lot of tiger tracks about a mile north of here.
Hunter: Which way is south?
